The Board of Trustees for Leadership Pikes Peak are pleased to announce the appointment of Hillary Reed as Acting Executive Director. The Leadership Pikes Peak team remains committed to our alumni, partners, supporters and the Pikes Peak Region. Hillary has been with LPP for two and a half years serving as the Signature Program Manager and will help guide the organization through the leadership transition while continuing to carry out its mission to build a thriving community through leadership and service.
Hillary is a graduate of the Leadership Now Class of 2008, the Signature Class of 2013 and served on the Leadership Now Steering Committee for five years. Hillary's background includes more than 12 years of experience in leading, training and developing staff and volunteers, strategic planning, performance management, budget and financial management, and fundraising and partnership development. Hillary holds a master's degree in Organizational Management and a PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership. She has a passion for community engagement and developing the leadership skills and talents of individuals, teams, and organizations.

With the acting leadership in place, our next step as the Board is to move swiftly to plan and implement the search for a permanent Executive Director. Laraine will continue to assist the Executive Committee with the search for the next Executive Director who will continue to build and grow the organization for the benefit of the community.

Leadership Pikes Peak is hosting our annual "Speed Boarding". This event is a way of connecting talented potential board members and business professionals with community nonprofit organizations. Leadership Pikes Peak (LPP) works with many emerging leaders through our programs each year. And, LPP alumni sit on many boards in town. We have seen first-hand the energy, new ideas and new relationships that organizations can gain by bringing new talent on board. So we hope you will join us for this structured opportunity to meet potential candidates for board positions within your organization.

We are currently looking for nonprofits who will have open board positions within 6-12 months following the February 25 event. Please contact Hillary Reed by Tuesday, February 16th if you're interested and have board openings. Due to limited space, we are limited to a total of 40 organizations.
